I bought this because the third semester requires more frequent use of a Chinese dictionary, and using a paper dictionary made doing homework a bit slow. Also, the cheaper BBK AM101 was discontinued, but having used the MT7000 for a little while, I'm kind of glad about that.My favorite part about the MT7000, which to me is nearly invaluable, is that it makes Chinese accessible, even for an English speaking fellow. Pinyin is always available next to characters, you can highlight any character or group of characters in a longer sentence to have them separately translated to English, and you are able to draw any character you see to find a concise and accurate English definition for it. The handwriting recognition is excellent (this isn't Besta's first time making one), and all the things I've mentioned together mean that I no longer have to guess what a character means when I'm reading.
